During the preliminary rearing phase, pullets are kept in darkened houses that prevent interference from external light sources.
Automatic equipment provides for the weighing, rationing and distribution of animal feed troughout the poultry house, in accordance with each phase of growth.
At the end of the growing period, which takes place under perfect environmental and climatic conditions, breeders enter their reproduction phase and are kept in sheds suited to their new requirements.
For this stage of breeding SPEROTTO has taken particular care over the automatic collective nests. The nest is designed to satisfy the natural needs of the animal, in order to create a comfortable habitat and an ideal site for laying eggs
The SPEROTTO nest is designed to achieve:
- increased egg fertility
- a very high hatching percentage
- almost complete elimination of floor eggs.
The eggs delicately roll out of the nest to settle on two polypropylene belts, especially perforated to guarantee cleanliness and ventilation.
The egg collection table, with a worktop lined in soft PVC, provides space for one or two operators.
Feed weighing and distribution system is completely automated. When the feed daily ration is finished, the feeders can be lifted up to create a larger, more comfortable space for breeders.
